The Little Squirrel was too
little to help in the cause of making bridge to Lanka. Still undeterred she with hard devotion dipped
herself in the sea and when her body was fully wet she ran to the sand, rolled
in it and then went to the construction site. There she shook her body
dislodging all the sand on the site.
Mocked by the Vanars (monkeys) the
little squirrel went to Lord Rama to complain.
“ They are making fun of me,” she complained so innocently that a smile emerged on the face of Lord Rama.
“I know my contribution is very
minute but still I have something to contribute,” added the little squirrel
after waiting for a while for Lord Rama to respond.
Lord Rama just kept on looking at
the little squirrel. This made her furious and her eyes conveyed her anger to
Lord Rama.
Lord Rama kneeled and ran his
fingers filled with divine love on the back of the Little Squirrel. The back
got marked with three black lines conveying to everyone in the force that the
little Squirrel has become the favourite of Lord Rama.
And the little squirrel filled
with the divine spark ran back to her work.
