Eleven Mourners

All of us know Karl Marx for his Communist Manifesto published in 1845. He saw the whole history of struggle as a class struggle. His fundamentalist text of Marxism was Das Capital, which saw the world in 1867.

His private life was not so smooth. He lived in extreme poverty having a weakness for all the good things in life as all of us have.

He fathered many children and even did not spare his housekeeper who bore him an illegitimate son. The credit for keeping his body and soul together goes to his wealthy friend Friedrich Engels. We can also credit Engles' support, which helped Marx to produce a hell lot of volume of timeless work.

At his funeral, there were only eleven mourners.
