Was Shakespeare A Fraud? Revealed by Anonymous...

The movie Anonymous may seem preposterous to the die-hard fans of Shakespeare. However,  this movie made sense to me, as no one has yet found even a single written manuscript by our beloved Shakespeare  ( as the movie claims).

In the movie Anonymous which is by the Hollywood’s famous director  “Roland Emmerich”   whose other movies include the famous  “The Independence Day” and “The day After Tomorrow”  has only acted to add fuel to the fire, to the already raging controversial matter of the true authorship of the writings of Shakespeare.

In the movie Shakespeare is shown as a fool, a mere simpleton who could not even write the basic alphabets of English., leave the matter of writing so much popular plays and sonnets by him.

Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford  is depicted as the true author of all the writings of Shakespeare. Edward de Vere  is the illegitimate son of Queen Elizabeth (borne by her when she was just 15 years old and they call Elizabeth the Virgin Queen ha!) who makes incestuous relation with her as he is oblivious of his motherly relation with her.

To add more spice to the movie  Queen Elizabeth is shown as a weak monarch in her older years whose authority is challenged by  Essex ( her another illegitimate son) who is to march with the Earl of Southampton  (illegitimate son of Edward de Vere and Queen Elizabeth) to the Palace, to promote his own claim to the succession.

However both are caught due to treachery by Ben Johnson and their heads are severed.

Ultimately, I enjoyed the whole melee of drama and you should watch it too.

Caution : Not a movie for die hard fans of Shakespeare, they can feel giddy watching their hero with such a deplorable intellect.
