It has made all the difference

Today as I was gorging on my favourite " Allo (potato) Paranthas", I grossly missed my familiar taste of them. I found them a little out of league.

I recalled the time when these Allo Paranthas seemed so true to their sole purpose of gratifying my taste buds with their obvious purpose of providing me satiety, which I always tried hard to deny in my quest to fill in some more of them into my stomach.

But today as I ate them I missed all of my familiar taste. Then I decided to cautiously investigate this matter with my mother as these type of delicate situations need very cautious handling, as I did not want to hurt the tender motherly feelings of my mother, who was at that time busy preparing them.

" Mom today these allo paranthas taste a little different."

My mom looked at me gaped. I understood that I have done  a mistake by asking a wrong question. But what to do now, as the mistake was done.

" No! No! it is not possible, beta(son)," she replied back trying to hide something.

Then after a long pause she confessed.

" Just a little change beta. I boiled the allos  in microwave instead of the cooker."

And it has made all the difference mother, destroying all of the delicious taste of my beloved allo paranthas. Then I ate them in utter silence not savouring them but nostalgic of their past performance.
